Hearing Instrument Specialist

My career with NewSound Hearing began June 2012, as a part time job. I was to fill in for patient service coordinators who took summer vacations. I had been a stay-at-home mom with my four children, and the youngest was graduating from high school. After the first day on the job, I declared to Karen Nelson, director of admin operations, that I had found my calling. However, I wanted to be a provider And why not? It was my turn to pursue my dreams. I spent the next few years working in various San Antonio area clinics, first as a patient services coordinator, then as a lab tech and then as a hearing instrument specialist-in-training. In October of 2014, I was assigned to the Fredericksburg, Texas clinic, where I have been the provider for three years. Fredericksburg and I have both seen tremendous growth since I first arrived — myself, personally and professionally. I love my job and am forever grateful to those who have mentored me along the way.
